Announcing Search for New Administrative Director

The Social Justice Center (SJC) of Albany is seeking an Administrative Director.  This person must have excellent communications skills, demonstrable history of success in administration, desire to work with multicultural, socio-economically diverse individuals and communities, and progressive analysis of power, privilege and oppression. 

The Administrative Director will work closely with the SJC accountant to manage SJC finances and the SJC database using Quickbooks and Exceed. Other responsibilities include: public facing communication (phone, email, social media), fundraising support, executive board administration, facilitating tenant relations, and overseeing building maintenance and repair. Ability to use flex hours to include evenings and weekends and ability to work with social media are key. Experience in not for profit management is helpful.This is a 15 hr/wk part-time position with sick leave and vacation.  The Administrative Director works closely with the building manager, volunteers, and reports to an actively engaged board.  Salary is $20 /hr.  The Board will accept applications until the position is filled.  Please send a cover letter, resume or questions to the SJC at and put “attention hiring committee” in the subject line.
